Looking at Calder and Saratoga today - posting the early races as usual.

Tough one to get a handle on. PLEASE BILL is really coming into form and 7f looks to be his favored distance, but I'm afraid he's going to be hung wide. FLYING FURY will get the pace he needs to make his run - love that Cruz chooses him. STORMY ROCKETTE could be around at a price.

I've burned a little money on GATE MASTER in the past - he won't get me today. Like the drop for THREEWIT. Just hope he relaxes today.

Speed seems to be holding up here today. I'm looking at SONNY GO WEST. I'll excuse the last since it was on a sloppy track. Should be forwardly placed and that alone gives him a chance - at 8-1 I just can't let it go.

Although JOEY BLUEEYES looks like the best of the bunch, I don't think this is a very good spot for him. I love CHIMNEY SLEW'S breeding for this soft, mushy grass. 24-1? What the hell, it's Sonny Go West profit we're playing with now.

JONAS doesn't have the speed that looks to be needed today, but if Smith keeps him close he should be ok on the double drop. If he does get left behind, I look to VICTORIOUS RECALL to clear them from the outside and hold off all challenges.

It's extremely rare that I will back a Lukas first time starter, but MOONLIGHT looks to be a bullet from the gate. She should make the lead with a clean break and will probably battle with the Pletcher filly from the outside. Will this set it up for DEB'S CHARM?
